What is AYA?

Language is identity, belonging, and a piece of home.
She builds bridges between cultures and generations.

AYA is for families living between languages.

Many of us hardly speak our native language anymore. Not because we don't care about it – but because everyday life speaks a different language. AYA brings it back: lightly, lovingly, vividly .

AYA unites what belongs together

We tell modern stories in languages that are rarely seen. We provide tools to make language a part of everyday life – through reading aloud, listening, and playing. Even if you don't read perfectly. Even if you've never had children's books in your own language.

"AYA is a home for language — in all its forms."

— Uma, Waslat & Wana

AYA's vision

AYA was founded by Uma Tokhi Piracha, Waslat Hasrat-Nazimi, and Wana Limar. Together, we are building AYA as a publishing house, media hub, and platform for underrepresented languages. We are starting with our own native languages, Dari and Pashto, and expanding step by step, language by language.

The Language Lab: The Future of Linguistic Diversity

In the Language Lab, we are already collecting the wishes and needs of the community so that the next languages can follow.

our range

Not a learning program. A home for multilingualism. Everything you need to naturally integrate your native language into everyday family life – through reading aloud, listening, and playing.
